purga-tory: A never before published photo of a rare sight - a large formation of the Army Air Force’s feared P-47 fighter bomber (36 aircraft total). The photo was taken by T/5 Cliff Evans of the 83rd Recon Bn. The date and location was not recorded but it is believed to be inside Germany in early 1945.
